History

1979 MarchInternational Academy of Gnathology, Asia Section was established.
1982 JulyJapan Academy of Gnathology was established as an independent body from the Asia Section.
1982 AugustFirst issue of the Academy journal was published.
1983 JuneThe first meeting of the Japan Academy of Gnathology was held in Tokyo.
1987Registered as part of the Scientific Research Group of the Japan Science Council (Section 7, Dental Science). Member of the Committee of Occlusion.
2000 April"The Japan Academy of Dental Health Science" was adapted as the official name of the organization.
2001 AprilThe name was changed to "the Academy of Gnathology and Occlusion"
2008 June"The Academy of Clinical Dentistry" was adapted as the name of the organization for the English speaking audience.
